    Glock 17 Slide Weight.

Can any of you Glock 17 owners tell me how much the slide weighs?

    TIA!

looks like hilander nailed it. Depending on how accurate your looking to be, those aftermarket sites are heavier than the stockers. Also, it appears to be one on the newer 17's with the angled ejection port. The early one with the square port may be heavier. I don't know it glock removed metal somewhere else when they made this change.

Yes, 15 degree extractor face cut, however the barrel hood is flat, the later ones are relieved in that area, but even all that is only a few grams.

Your metal sights add to the weight.

I don't own any Glocks that have stock sights, they are crap. I even have a couple of dozen (take off) stock sights in the gun bag that anyone can have.

I know, but you were being precise with your answer, and I was just noting that you didn't account for the difference in your sights. Assuming this even matters to the OP.

Actually I was refering to the 15 degree slide cut versus the old straight cut, but since you asked, and because I am know as "MR. Wonderful" for being so helpfull and all, here is the answer.
That scale is not precise, this one is (it can actually run down to 10^-5 grams. Do not try this at home, these things start at $4,000 and go up to $12,000.

OEM weighs in at a WHOPPING 1 gram, and the Heines tip the scale at 11 grams. So expect your slide speed to go down about 2%.
