Does anyone know if this:

"PC1911-2 / Stainless Steel Pistol 5" .38 Super 11/16/06"

(description given by the roster of handguns approved for California.)

Is the same thing as this:

"Smith & Wesson 1911 DK 38 Super PC 170257"

I'd give a tentative 'yes', as the S&W website only lists one .38 Super 1911 from the Performance Center, and 170257 is the SKU of that gun.

I just noticed that S&W only has one "1911" .38 super listed on their web-site, and obviously the meaning of PC1911-2 Stainless Steel Pistol 5" .38 Super 11/16/06 should be Performance Center Stainless Steel Pistol 5" .38 Super 11/16/06.
so "yes" they are the same gun!

Performance Center puts out great guns and this is a darn nice looking pistol.
That being said this one needs to be blued.
Meaning if they put out a blued version it would be sweeter yet.
