Just DROS'd one, bought off a member here. Seems to be in great condition, and came with 6 mags and a tungsten guide rod. So, how do you guys like yours? I've never fired one of these in particular, but after shooting a friend's .45 some time ago, I decided I needed to get one, and I liked my Glock 17. Probably just for range use and HD, but anything I should add to it, perhaps night sights? Suggestions on some good, cheap range ammo that the 21 likes? Anything else?

This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

You should have shot one first before buying! Great guns but HUGE grips!! I hope you have big hands!! They shoot pretty much anything but maybe picky about semi-wad cutters!!==================

You're going to love the GLOCK 21. They run and run and run.
Really accurate and I personally like Tru-Glo Tritium sites for my bad eyes.
Shoot it a while stock and you will know what you want.
Another Great .45 is the Glock 30May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Yeah, it fits me great; I'm pretty large. Is that guide rod thats coming with it worthwhile? And I've been looking at those TruGlo sites, thats probably what I would go with for night sights. This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

my son loves his G21SF. it's his go to handgun for defensive purposes. i find the grip of the G21SF to be too large for me. my son's hands are slightly larger than mine, and i guess that has something to do with him liking his G21SF as much as he does. he is a fan of all Glocks btw.Comment

Really like mine. Shot it in the GSSF match in Richmond, hadn't practiced with it, still placed in the middle of the pack in Heavy Metal.
I used Federal hardball, no failures at all yet. Mine has Ameriglo night sights that work fine for me. If I were going to shoot it in competition more often, it would have the same TFO sights as my G17. They are much more visible in daylight than Ameriglo or Trijicon night sights, but are functional night sights also. I have no opinion on the tungsten guide rod, as I have yet to break a stock Glock recoil assembly.I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

great gun, ive only shot winchester white box and remington umc through it but never had a problem
its blocky compared to my Colt 1911's but still feels good in the hand especially considering it has twice the capacityComment

I like mine enough that it's my HD. I got mine from a Calgunner too. It already had Trijicon night sights. So that was a bonus for me. I have kept mine pretty much stock. I always end my range trips with it.
Glocks tend to eat anything. I have shot PMC, Blazer (aluminum), Armscor, WWB. They cycle just fine. I'm trying Cabela's MFS.
I'd have to say, the ammo is pretty pricey. So I have been looking around for a G17 to practice with. Just want to get more trigger time.Comment
