    I'm stumped: Name This Handgun Please!

    A friend has this handgun, I'm completely stumped as to what it is..
    he is a bit of a collector and reports there are no markings or serial numbers on the gun. I suspect it is home-made...

    anyone got a clue?

          A creedmore pistol match I attended ages ago had a guy using a similar style pivoting breech design, looks to me like a custom match pistol.

              It will take a .22lr cartridge...
              don't know much about it ...belongs to a customer/friend...

              was doing some research and found some flobert type .22 rifles with a similar action made more than 100 years ago...

              my friend is quite the trader and on diety knows where he got it...

                  Its reminiscent of both Walther's older target pistols and Hi-Standard's target pistols. If its homemade its a very nice example. To me, it appears too complicated to be homemade and I would guess it was a prototype for a target pistol that just never went into production.

                          on a target pistol.. say an olympic free pistol etc.. it would be for a sliding weight to change the balance of the firearm...

                                      not sure it goes there the gun "looks" brand new via pictures...but has no markings...

                                      thinking it's a re-built flobert.. in which case it should go C&R board.. but ...I keep going back to it looks like a re-purposed something else...like Olymic target gun, or flobert etc..
                                      there is a flobert rifle somewhere around this site with an identical action...found this on a web search...
