Gun purchase quesiton

So if I purchased on September 3rd from budsgunshop.com, they are going to ship it to the FFL, when does the 10 day period start? Does it start from when I actually purchased the gun, or when the FFL receives the shipment?

10 days starts when the FFL enters the DROS and you get a DROS #. If the FFL can get the serial number (and he's reasonably confident the shop will actually send THAT pistol) you could conceivably start the clock before it arrives at the FFL.

It is that moment the FFL hits enter and gets the DROS number that the clock officially starts to tick.

I've done it before but my FFL was confident that his distributor was sending THAT pistol. Not sure if Bud's is as reliable/organized.

When you the buyer start the DROS process, then the 10 days starts in some shops they have a hard time figuring out time, so they have the 11 day policy so you might to check that also.
