    It's time

Getting in the rain locker and then it's off to go pick up this.
I'm bringing my first 1911 home for a quick cleaning/once over, then it's out to the fields for some breaking in and dove hunting. I'll let y'all know how she shoots later on.

From everything I have read about those RIAs you won't be disappointed! Have fun and let us know how she does on her first outing.

congrats i'm thinking about RIA being my first 1911 too although i'd have to change the grips cause I'm not a fan of the standard factory ones

Shot 92 rounds from 3 different magazines, no failures. I am going to need a different grip safety however and grips as well. The factory grips are a bit too slick for my liking. Field stripped and cleaned it when I got home, and haven't put it down since lol.

Hmm, first time I've heard that from an RIA. That's the basic GI model, right? Wonder if that can happen with the Tactical model as well cause I was planning on getting one in 9mm sometime in the future. Could be worse. I once rented an SA GI model when I was testing out some 1911's. That thing cut two skid marks into the web of my hand. Didn't notice it till after I finished shooting that the soreness I was feeling was actually me bleeding from cuts. Before that I had rented out an SA Loaded and that thing just felt right in my hands. No discomfort at all.

The 92 rounds with no problems or the grip safety rub lol? I have meaty hands so it might be that or maybe my hands have gotten a bit ladylike from shooting Tupperware too long lol.
