Anyone own a Daewoo (Korean) DP51 (Hi Power clone)? Selling for $275 (with DROS and transfer fees being extra of course) and I've been wanting to pick up a 9mm. Probably won't do it until my tax return comes in, but I can research in the mean time. So, if you have any experience with 'em, please share.

Yep, handguns and assault rifles also, for years, i was selling them back in the late 1980's early 1990,s to start. Reports and photos of "dime sized holes" at 100 yards with the 5.56 AR100, side folding stock assault rifles of the day. Still have one AR 100 manual left, shoulda kept one rifle for myself

Daewoo is modeled more like Daimler Corp than like a single market company like you find in America....but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.Comment

Its a good gun has a tri action trigger (double action, Single acton, and a fast action) it takes Smith & Wesson model 59 magazines. I have been looking for one at a decent price. Would like to match it up with a DR200 rifle.
275 is ok they are worth 225-350$ so atleast you will always get your money back.T&A Armory

I know right?!
Every time I think of Daewoo, I think of this gun. This was before Saiga shotguns were so popular with everyone. DAMN shame that Bill Clinton the dunce Federally banned these in the 90's, making their presence here a rarity, along with the Spas-12. One of the original badass semi-auto shotguns that were available in the U.S. for a short amount of time...In Glock We Trust.

Daewoo was making firearms longer than the other stuff.
The Daewoo Group was the second largest conglomorate in the ROK with 20 different divisions. Daewoo Precision Industries was the division responsible for making small arms.
In the late-'70s, Colt set up Daewoo Precision Industries to manufacture the M-16A1 for the ROK military.
In the early-'80s, Daewoo Precision Industries started developing their own firearm designs, most of which were adopted by & still in use with the ROK military.
The Daewoo Group could not recover from the Asain market crash of 1998 and was dismantled by the ROK government in 1999.
In 2002, Daewoo Precision Industries was spun off as it's own indepent company.
In 2006, S&T Holdings acquired Daewoo Precision Industries and reorganized/renamed it S&T Daewoo.
A result of the reorganization, S&T Daewoo discontinued production of all non-military firearms.sigpic

The Daewoo USAS-12 is the second generation version of the Atchission Assault-12 shotgun.
In 1994, the BATF classified the semi-auto only version as a Destructive Device (DD). Due to this, Daewoo discontinued production of the semi-auto only version of the USAS-12.
The select-fire version of the USAS-12 was discontinued in 2006.sigpic

DP51 is ok.
That is good price.
I think they could have used better barrel.
It's reliable piece.'Cuz big holes are easier to see.
You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.Comment

Don't forget, Daewoo has some offlist rifles that can be had even here in the PRK as well, such as:
The Daewoo DR-200 (.223/5.56) <--- Semi-automatic, also uses AR magazines.
The Daewoo DR-300 (7.62x39mm)
I'd get pics up, but my browser has a hard time with google right now.In Glock We Trust.
