Suggestions For Securable & Portable Lockable Case

I stumbled upon this in a search for traveling options: http://www.corporatetravelsafety.com...afe-p-564.html

Check out Gun-Vault. They have 3 or 4 different models, one with a combo lock that a lot of people complain about, but I have no problems with mine.

I don't think you can avoid the cable issue though. How secure would a cable be if it wasn't secured with a lock. In this scenario, the gun case is the lock and I see that as an advantage... not having to deal with 2 locks.

      LOL!

Securing it to an ABS plastic drain pipe (that looks like it has quick release fittings to boot)!

By the way, that looks just like the gunvault I have. Mine has a combo lock.

Thanks! It looks like the one I was initially looking at is a re-branded and marked up model of the Gun Vault Nano 200/300.

I love my Pelican 1470. Locking latches with key, and you can add 2 padlocks if desired. I picked up mine on eBay very gently used for $45. Made in USA.

I have a Gun Vault one that is very similar to the one you posted but only $30 from optics planet.

They have different sizes for full size and compact pistols. Just add some "filler" items because orders over $30 ship for free.

Also, I wouldn't recommend it for carry as it is a bit heavy for its size. I would keep one in the car or in the house and get a pistol rug to carry locked.

Thanks, I now know what a pistol rug is.

                I just bought this tonight

                1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect

                2 Corinthians 3:3
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Personally, I'd look for something with a Simplex lock (the 5 push buttons you can set your own code for). I dislike keys (which can be lost) or electronics (which can die) or combinations (take too long to open).

I use this for my bedroom because I can operate it in the dark, no key, no electricity, open in less than 2 seconds.
