    PX4's?

Anyone have any experience with them? Anyone heard anything? I only know of one person that has one and he's mainly just an acquaintance, but he said he absolutely loves it. I really would like to get my hands on a sub compact to see how they fair when it comes to grip and ergonomics

They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Had a full size type F 9mm. LOVED the looks, loved the ergos, loved the feel, but the dang safety/decock on the side would scrape my palm and fingers every time I'd rack the slide. Great gun, just that little annoyance. It got on my nerves and I eventually sold it to my brother in-law. Beretta used to sell low profile safeties, but they're out of stock, and I'm not sure if they're going to make more. There is the type C that doesn't have the safety, but those are off roster and are striker fired (no SA/DA trigger).

I really liked how slim the grip was, so I'm actually thinking of getting a type G in .45, since most .45 polymer frames are too wide for me.
Only problem is that the .45 is off-roster.

I love mine, I'm a Sig lover but the PX4 sure is a nice pistol. I don't like the safety/de-cocker either but I got over it.

Have a few thousand rounds through mine. Absolutely stunning handgun. Bought a .40 PX4 as my first handgun. Trigger slap was a bit bad at first but it smoothed out nicely after a few hundred rounds. With my .40 it preferred higher power ammunition or it was prone to failure to feed issues.

All said, it's an extremely accurate handgun and very worth the price.

Love mine. The C model is still hammer fired FYI. Nice ergos and easy to shoot. People that say it hurts their hands need to spend more time working with their hands and less time on the computer. Lol ;-)

The slide IS tricky to grip. The serrations are very low and the finish is rather slick. I've been debating putting grip tape patches or something where the serrations are.

I guess since it was my only handgun up until a few months ago, I've had no issue. Beware the man with one gun he'll know how to use it. :-)

are the sub compacts on the DOJ roster?

Awesome pistol, extremely accurate right out of the box, and recoil is a non-issue.

Ditto everything except the feeding issues. Mine takes even some crappy bulk reloaded stuff just fine. Only time it jammed is when my little brother limp wrists it.

Well, yeah, it is still hammer fired, but it is only half cocked when the slide goes back, it has a tougher trigger due to cocking the last half, it isn't double action, and the hammer doesn't protrude from the slide so you can't cock it back with your thumb. Essentially, it's the same thing as striker fired.

Definitely agree with the quality pistol for cheap. Hard to beat it's price for what you're getting.

Nope. Time to resume my CA roster fit.

With the debut of the PX4 Inox, the price of the blued PX4's have dropped a bit, but PX4 pricing has been on par with Glock pricing, so I'm not sure I understand the constant reference to the PX4 being priced cheaply.

Along with the Sig 2022, the PX4 is one of the affordable, high quality, polymer framed, SA/DA external hammer handguns. I think it's because everyone compares it to the $800 and up HK's with similar traits.

                              +1 on that
Also the new rotating barrel design didnt seem to reduce recoil as advertised, least to me.
