CMC ProMags Problem w/ Kimber Custom II

Sorry guys if this has been discussed in a previous thread, I tried searching for it but got nothing.

I just bought CMC ProMags + 10rnds for my Kimber Custom II. I have to depress the mag release to fully seat my magazines. I have three of them and they all do this.

Is this normal? Has anyone experience this?

I had the same issue with the CMC mags in my new Kimber Eclipse.

You need to insert the mags with a little bit of elbow grease until they wear in. You can email CMC directly and ask them the question. That is what I did.

Many mags are like that. The extra round mags even more so since you have more spring pressure to over come when inserting it. You shouldnt have to press the mag release though. Try just slamming them into the mag well like you mean it

Check to see if your mag bumper is hitting against the frame. Shaving a little off may help seating your magazines.

Thanks for the help guys! I didn't want to slam the mag home since it was a new 1911. But after reading more about it, seems like it will work after the mag release is worn down a little from use.

Oh these 191's are just like girlfriends, so sensitive and so particularly about their accessories. lol.

On my old Kimber TLE, it took a little bit for my CMC Power + 10rd mags to "break in" before they were running & seating smoothly on my gun.

I've got several 10rd CMC's for my Custom II. Just slam them in like you mean it.
