    My first 1911! SA Loaded

Picked up a new stainless SA loaded a few weeks ago. This is my first 1911 and I love it so much that my Glock's will be taking a vacation for a while. It was flawless for about 400 rounds but then started having some problems with failure to feeds. With the help of fellow calgunners, it's now running flawlessly! Thanks guys . This is now my full time duty weapon and this is a list of work/parts done...

    Bead blasted frame
    SA TRP g10 grips
    Novak night sights
    S&A Mainspring/magwell housing
    Wilson Combat Bulletproof:
    GI rod/plug
    Slide Stop
    Firing pin stop
    Extractor
    Ed Brown Sear
    Ed Brown extended thumb safety
Cylinder & Slide Sear spring and match trigger
    5 pound trigger job
Wilson combat 18 1/2 # recoil spring and extra power firing pin spring
    Lots of Chip power mags

Do you guys have any suggestions on what else should be replaced to increase reliability? I'm going to average about 500 rounds a month on this weapon and I need it to be a tack driver.

Congrats on a beautiful pistol! How did you fix the failure to feed issues?

It was fixed by a simple bending of the extractor. The stock extractor lost its tension and wasnt holding the round during chambering. I since then just replaced the extractor with a wilson bar stock extractor for a piece of mind. I also had a few cases of premature slide lock during fire which was resolved by shaving a TINY bit of metal off the lobe where the ammo was bumping it. I also replaced that too with a wilson that has a built in indent. Atleast I have spare parts

That's good man. Glad it all worked out for you! Now you can just spend your time enjoying that fine piece of weaponry you got there!

The only reason why I was asking was because I am also having similar issues. I had 3 or 4 failure to feeds out of 200 rounds with my new SA TRP. I'm pretty sure my extractor has too much tension.

Why is it that whenever someone buys a 1911, they also replace
            Half the parts!?!

            Beautiful gun by the way!!

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

If one has an SA and it has ANY problems, send it back to SA. They will make it 100%. No questions asked...I sent mine back, and they paid shipping - and they did an OUTSTOUNDING job. It's flawless now.

SA Loaded? Here's mine after a return from the Warranty shop (FTF), then it went to the SA Custom Shop. FS checkering, trigger job, blended magwell, etc. I love it:

Hey, if you send a faulty pistol back, does it have to return to you via an FFL, even if it's yours?

No, they would mail it your door step.

True^, I had a issue with my Taurus firearm and they shipped it back to my door step although someone had to be home.

Congrats! The SA1911 Loaded is a great gun for the money. I've had mine for about 5 months (2000+ rounds so far) and I am really happy with it.
