I was wrong on the g34 price, it is $480 w 3 mags like RollingCode3 said.
      The 17L is $620 with 2 mags.
The G17L makes it easier for tight shots at long distances because of the longer sight radius. Biggest difference is when you shoot a G17L most of the time, anything else seems smaller, like a G17 feels like a G26. Actually the nicest trigger is on my oldest G17, but that's because of round count, about 75,000.

The trigger is a bit lighter than the 17l and it comes with a compensated slide.
You can't go wrong with the 34.
The slides on both the G34 and G17L are milled out to maintain the same slide weight as a G17. Compensating is porting gasses at the muzzle.

        This is a compensator

The Wikipedia on Glock says the 17L was discontinued and replaced by the G34. They're still selling new 17L's, so I think it must be incorrect.

G17L's still come out in limited production runs. So yup, don't go by Wikipedia.

I have both and think I like the 17 better. The 17 has an edge on accuracy because the sights are tighter. You can't go wrong with either gun.

Ditto and yes I do love my G34 and love it even more using my G22 RTF lower.

Yes, the G34 is the best looking Glock. Of course, that's like being the richest man in Zimbabwe or the tallest midget in the room.

I like looking at the economics side of things.

With a G34, it's cheaper and easier to resell. Sure a G17L is more rare and would be cool to have. But if you decided to sell it, it already costs more to begin with and to recoupe those costs you may need to sell it for more than what somebody can buy a new G34 for.

That being said, I would either look into the G34 or a conversion barrel & mags for your G35.

I'd go G34, just overall more versatile. Lately, I've even been looking more into the G17 route.

Where in the heck do you find a G34 for $480 with any number of mags?
