    Before S&W called it a Model 29(pics)

This mint 44 Magnum is a second year (1957) revolver before it was
    marked M-29. Pete

    Now that's sexy.

PISS ON IT, and walk away.

Now, that is what a Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum is all about.

              Very sweet!

That was the first .44 magnum I ever fired.

                Beautiful.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

While living in Arizona many years ago I met a fella named Gordon SELBY who owned this exact same gun. He was one of the very first to acquire one and was proud of it. SELBY died some time back, but is well remembered as an outstanding pistol shot and superb law enforcement officer.

Yep, he let me shoot it, but precisely 12 rounds (ammo was limited) and the checkering took out little divots from my right hand. I kept my hand behind my back 'cause it was leaking just a little and I did not want this living legend to notice. SELBY had large, tough hands and had no such probem shooting his .44 magnum.

I always swore to get one - never did so. Beautiful weapon and I am more than a little bit envious.
