      S&W appears to submit most all of their guns for CA approval now.

      So if it passes the drop test and they pay the fees, eventually it'll be approved for sale in CA.

        Thats the one
        the word is there will be no internal lock on the model 40 do all new hand guns need a internal lock to be sold in CA.

                    If you look closely at the other "classic" models shown on the S&W site, you'll see that they are all equipped with the internal lock device.
