The matches are fun and pretty well run. Static course of fire, no movement as the nature of the range does not allow it. Timed/distance/rd couint type match useing the standard GSSF tombstone target. Check out LAX Ranges website, it should have a run down of the course of fire.

Talked to a buddy about this match afew days ago, his first words were " **** that match its a rip off" according to him the match director doesnt distribute the glock swag that headquarters gives him (no guns) to promote the match/winner prizes.
I im going to hold off and shoot one of the norco or piru matches.

Wel I've been gioing to the matches for the past several years as well as some other members here who have shot in the top tier. The "swag" as referred to has never been more than a couple Glock caps and stickers provided by the GSSF, the gun (only 1 gun per yearly 3 match tourney) has been awarded according to the rules via the Lewis allocation method. The participants all recieve emails with the details of the matches, scores and placement, and the name of the winner of the Glock is drawn at the prize awarding.

        Range of the Year

LAX Range has been nominated for GSSF Indoor Range of the year but we need your support. To assist us in the nomination, we ask that you send an email to GSSF Indoor League Coordinator, Melanie Maness at melanie.maness@glock.us stating that you support our range and bid for the nomination.

Thank you again for a great 2010 match and we look forward to hosting it again next year.

All the times I have shot in the match everything has been by the book and above board, scoring done out in the open in front of all, and results sent to GSSF during the match via WWW. But hey to each his own and hope to see more Calgunners shoot the match. Ed
