California Seecamp

I just got a call last night that the California Seecamp I ordered over a year ago actually arrived at my dealer yesterday. Does anyone here have any experience with the new California approved model? I have been carrying a Beretta Tomcat (alleycat with tritium front sight and extended safety) now as a backup to my backup for a year now. I bought the beretta to hold me over until the seecamp arrived. The Beretta has been 100% reliable for the 300 or so rounds I have put through it. So now that the Seecamp has arrived should I sell the Beretta????

Waited over a year??? Wow, I bought mine off of GunBroker and had it shipped in less than a week.

Overall the Seecamp is a nice little backup gun. I use it as my "tuxedo gun". For when I go somewhere dressed up and the G27 is just too big.

Wish the 380 versions will come to Cali soon.

to get the right price

I guess i should have said that I waited over a year to get one at a group buy. $25.00 over dealer cost. I have seen them on different auction sites but I didnt want to pay that much.

Seecamp is a great gun and the owner is the best. He's an old school german guy that takes care of all his guns. He said he is yet to charge for a warranty claim on any gun he sells. He takes care of you and answers emails and questions on his own forum over at seecamp.com. Check is out for full info.

I bought mine at turners for around 450.
It works great and the california edition is not so bad, the extra safety is nice and hard to engage so no worries.

I love my seecamp, ultimate small carry gun. very accurate at 10 yards.

I paid $399 for a "used" Seecamp off of gunbroker. When I got it, it was brand new. With the serial number "AWAREXX"

Asked Seecamp and he said that he donates a gun every year to a group called "Arming Women Against Rape and Endangerment (AWARE).

Guess someone won this Seecamp and never used it. And decided to hock it. Her loss, my gain.

The price I paid was a 30 gun leo buy for $375.00 out the door. any advice for a good pocket holster?

Seecamp

The Beretta is going to be for sale. I played with the Seecamp today. What a well made little gun. Now to get a letter so I can go pick it up.
I have seen these around before but I never would pay the prices they were selling for, For quite a while they ran $800.00+ and at the time a Colt Gold Cup could be had for $200.00 less. So when I discovered the group buy I decided to get one. I hope it shoots as well as it looks. I have a galco horsehide pocket holster for the Beretta and really like it. I may just pick one up for the Seecamp.

The 380 versions will be about $800-900 bucks.

But hell for a the same size pistol but in 380 instead of 32. It may be worth it.

I have to say after handling the little seecamp $800.00 for a 380 would not set me back. The seecamp is actually a third gun for duty use. A back up for my backup so to say. If I ever had to use the seecamp that would be a very bad day for Gunner.
Very nice little gun though, I know that the sights are rudimentary at best and the seecamp is made for "Close social encounters" but I really would like a tritium dot on the front like my Beretta Tomcat has. I am not a huge fan of the Beretta Tomcat but they do work and the Alleycat model is not bad at all for getting into action quickly and fairly accurately.
