So Im looking to purchase a new M9 but I noticed it has "dot and post" sights. I have never shot with these sights before. I love Glock fixed sights and Im comfortable with traditional 3 dot sights. For those of you who have shot with these sights, are they hard to adjust to? Are they more accurate then 3 dot sight? I understand you can acquire a target "faster" with the dot and post sights but is that their only advantage. This will be my deciding factor between a M9 or 92fs or maybe even a M9A1 (I feel the rail is unnecessary for me). Thanks.

I have no doubts that if you can use traditional 3 dot sights, you can "dot the i" with a post and dot, it's a very simple system to use. FWIW I don't use rear dots, only a front dot. As far as more accurate than 3 dot, that depends on the user.Good saddles ain't cheap...and cheap saddles ain't good

you can get used to it pretty easy... go to a range that rents guns and see if they have the Beretta. You'll know rather quick if you will like it
Good luckComment
