    Phoenix HP22 conversion kit question

My fault... I wasn't paying attention.

I own a Phoenix HP22 in nickel... a very reliable 22 plinker. I recently ordered the conversion kit which gives you a longer barrel and an extra mag.

In ordering, I missed the fact I ordered the black kit, not the nickel one that matches my gun.

My question... any reason this still wouldn't be able to functionally work? Obviously, it isn't going to look as nice as if I had nickel on nickel... but having a black barrel on a nickel gun seems to me like it would still work since the barrel isn't a moving part.

But, before I fire it... I thought I should ask if anyone knows if this will cause any kind of problem 9other than looking a little ugly.)

Finish should not affect function. As far as aesthetics, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you think you really want the nickel finish can't you send back the black one for an exchange?

The black barrel fits just fine.
I have the same set-up....sliver gun bought new, black barrel bought used.
I'm looking for matching sliver paint for the barrel...but maybe I'll keep the top of the sight rib black.

It actually looks kind of cool with the black barrel... a bit like an old 60s "zip gun."

Man, in the modern era you never even hear the phrase "zip gun" anymore.
