will full size usp mags fit in compact usp? I have heard both yes and no, from different people in the gun store and would like a clear answer. if so a compact 40 might be coming to the house shortly

hk mag interchangeable?
Tags: None -
I've read in a gun magazine a while back that HK engineering by default does not support interchangeable mags between the full size USP (USPf) and the USP Compact (USPc). The rationale is that the pistol frames are "truely reduced" in size. Unlike Glocks, where a 9mm magazine will also fit into a sub-compact. On the flip slide, I believe the USPc 9mm mags works with the 9mm P2000.sigpic

Sort answer...No
Long answer...Hell no.
THE drawback as far as I'm concerned regarding H&K. Ticked me off royal when I bought my USP40c and then thought about gettin the full size.
Not really THAT big of a deal except that the mags cost $40 each when you can find them... Oh yeah, that and I have to carry around 5 mags now (3 in duty gun, one in back up and one extra for backup gun) when I could be carrying 4. Doesn't sound like a big deal untill you have to carry it around every day.Murphy's Law - What can happen will happen at the least opportune momentComment

I own both and the answer is no.sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

The USPc and P2000 however, use the same magazines.Comment
