Offically a Glock Owner!!!

HAH!!! Officially a glock 17 owner.. God dam took like enough.


Ok so I got a RTF this morning in a trade from another gunner and I have a question. When I dry fired the pistol to check when the trigger breaks there is a spring sound when released and you feel a vibration in the trigger when you break it.


Is that normal if not whats up and how do I fix it... The guy at rifle gear said its normal just sloppy. It bothers me a lot. Havnt shot it yet still in day 1 of 10.

The previous owner says only 500 rounds through it and all hes done is the 3.5 connector. The guy at the shop also said the reset seems to be mooshier than normal and the reset is longer than on a normal glock..

Anyone have a diagnosis?

And to all the glock haters i will accept your glock bashing comments.. With a large grain of salt hahaha

Your best bet is to have a GLOCK armorer take a look at it real quick just to make sure there is not a safety problem with it. I'd say bring it to the Costa Mesa show this weekend, and I'll take a look at it, but you won't have it by then. If you're willing to drive to LA, I'll also be at the LA C3 shoot on the 26th.

If you're familiar with the Glock assembly you can take it apart yourself and see if you see anything wrong. It might even be worth while to toss the original connector back in and see if that makes a difference.

Riflegear is good to go...I just did a PPT on a used Glock 27 at Riflegear. Neat bunch of people and a great place to buy a Rifle.

Glock parts are not expensive. Don't worry about the reset. A quick teardown and inspection will help. Takes about 4 minutes. What brand of connecter was installed.?...I like the original GLOCK 4.5 connectors (originally called the 3.5 but they changed the name to 4.5).

Think about a .25 cent trigger job, that will smooth thing out a bit. (YouTube has a few)

Congrats on the Glock 17. The perfect weapon in every part of the world. One of those weapons you never sell. It will amaze you on the crap ammo it will feed without fail. Dang....I love Glocks.

What kind of sites are on her now...?....To me sites are an important upgrade (assuming the weapon has standard plastic fixed sites).

Yea I think I might take it to my local smith hoping he doesn't charge just for a look see. But I popped her open and took a look and everything seemed ok. But again I'm slightly familiar with a glock not toally incompetent but I know a little.

I'll think about it first let me get this dam trigger fixed. I didn't ask him but he said the 3.5 connectors in it and I'll see about getting a regular connector into it to see it. And I've already watched 10 videos on the trigger job that's the first thing I plan on doing to it after at least one range day.

Also it has a pair of glock standard night 3 dot sites. Another thing that sold me on settling with the rtf model.

I have a few stock connectors too, but the sound you're describing has nothing to do with the connected.

Seriously it sounds like a cheap bb gun when you shoot it with no bb and you hear and feel the spring.

I swear it's a spring and the first time I shot it it felt like the recoil spring but I was like uhhhh that shouldn't be involved in any of this hahaha

But it feels nothing or sounds like the 19 or 17 I've shot several times at firing line.
