GLOCK EXPLODED!!!!

I have only read the first page, but I will NEVER buy cheap ammo, including the WWB crap from Walmart.

Some of you guys like the cheap crap and thats what you get.

Had a buddies 9mm Glock "explode" in his hand in the lane right next to me, I believe it was federal ammo but I won't swear to it. A 1" by 1"ish shaped piece of the frame broke off, the impression I got from his description was that it was like an large firecracker going off in his hand.
Glock did the repairs under warranty, blamed the ammo. I honestly don't remember if he pursued anything with the ammo company or not.

While it did not cause a "shockwave felt round the world", i would say explode is not too far off a verb. If that **** goes boom harder than its supposed to, such that it DESTROYS the effin gun and injures the shooter, id be inclined to say that thing exploded. I mean, were u expecting it to bring down the bldg for the op to be telling the truth? Geesh, some people act like this is blasphemy against glock. Overcharged round/squib followed up w another shot can potentially destroy any gun.

Like mr gump once implied "**** happens". I just think its funny everyone thinks its a conspiracy to defame glock and cause the company's collapse. Word of the day - hysteria!

I've only seen two guns blowup in my life and both were Glocks.

i can assure everyone that there was not a squib round. i saw the previous round hit the target with no problems. there was no change in fealt recoil or anything. will put some high def pics up by tomorrow.

btw if you think im overreacting by saying exploded...what would you call it when your gun goes boom, cracks the frame and everything flies off the gun and injures you? my gun.....exploded. i think thats the right word for it.

don't sweat it mopar, I believe when I looked at my buddy, right after it happened, he looked like a deer in the headlights, and said "my gun exploded"

I would say my buddy had a kb not GLOCK EXPLODED!!! Kinda dramatic. I was expecting something more than an average kb. Like the slide being ejected down range. Your description of your friends injury was also a little exagerated.

Yes it "exploded" but everytime you pull the trigger its an explosion by that definition. Again, just a little dramatical. Thats all.

Just my .02 but whatever caused it, looks like the Glock took it quite well. Wonder how the outcome would be like if the pistol had a steel or aluminum frame.

Personally, I would rather have bits of plastic flying than metal. Plastic doesn't have the same inertia and mass as metal.

JUST IN... MY BUDDY GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH TULA. THEY WERE REALLY NICE AND SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF HIM. THEY ASKED FOR PICS AND GOT THE SAME PHONE PICS YOU GUYS HAVE. I WONDER HOW MANY OF THESE CALLS THEY GET?
