Detail Stripping a Glock

Ordered the DVD Complete Glock by Lenny Magill and thought I'd give it a try. The video is slow and complete which is great for a first timer like myself. Most of you guys probably know how to do this already, but it gave me the warm fuzzies knowing how to do it myself.

I think I paid $19.99 for it which is a fair price and it gives me the chance to support firearm based commerce.

Possibly. This saves me the embarrassment/cost/frustration of having to take it to a gun store or wade through hours of crappy resolution on Youtube.

I could probably disassemble/reassemble the slide in 30 seconds if it wasn't for the firing pin assembly. Getting the cups back on takes a little effort.


Since I own the video I can add it to my headless DVD server and make cool remixes.

Nice work. The vid on Youtube didn't show how to pop the slide release lever in properly. So I had no tension from the spring and couldn't slingshot the slide when I put it back together. My usual 'smith fixed that for me real quick.

Don't worry about the naysayers. I'd rather have the DVD too than the crappy resolution of youtube.

Congrats, +1 on the .25 trigger job. Also now would be a great time to drop in a 3.5# connector (LWD is my favorite). If you want, changing out your springs will lighten up the trigger pull a good bit also.
