I went ahead and swapped out a few parts on my SA 1911 loaded model. The parts in question are the barrel bushing, main spring plug, the main spring housing, and the grips..what cha guy's think?.. P.S. Sorry for the crappy pics.

The barrel bushing is from EGW..I went for the Carry Bevel bushing w/ angled bore. The flange thickness is .125” which protects the barrel more because it sticks out farther than the spec bushing. I also purchased the EGW Long Nose Spring Plug for a flush fit. As you can see it looks very nice! The grips are the VZ Frag Grips which give excellent grip and are a little more comfortable than the golfball pattern grips I use to have. Last is the MSH which I picked up from Guncrafters. It's parkerized with a 20LPI checkered pattern and integrated lanyard loop. That's about it. I'm thinking of sending out to a gunsmith for dehorning and maybe refinishing.

Other than that there was no additional fitting. All in all I'm quite pleased with the aftermarket parts....very high quality. The trigger is from 10-8 performance.
