So... I just bought a used Browning Buckmark Camper, and it has a scratch (1/2-3/4") on the barrel, I was considering doing maybe a camo paint job or something on the whole gun to conceal it. How difficult would this be, I've seen it done a lot with rifles but I don't think I've seen a thread with painted handguns. Also does anyone have a guide or something? I don't want to mess up my gun heh.

You can go to your sporting goods store and pick-up some camo tapeSo... to tape onto your Buckmark instead of painting it. -
Here is a link to a 1911 I painted in my garage using Durabake:
Its easy as long as you have a compressor and spray gun. Durabake requires an oven to cure but Duracoat will cure over time. Stuff is really easy to work with and tough as nails. PM me if you have any questions.Comment

Check out Lauer Weaponry. I may be mistaken but I think they might offer it in a spray can version. Might be wrong. If not I think Gun Kote offers a spray can version.
The most import thing to do is adequately remove all.....and I mean ALL oil and grease. Degrease the gun. Then bake the frame for 15 minutes at 350. This will get any remaining oils out of the cracks, grooves and pits and up to the surface. Degrease again. Repeat as many times as required until oil stops appearing on the surface of the frame.
Good luckComment
