Tripp Cobra 9mm mags are my fav and are the best 9mm 1911 mags IMHO. They are all I will buy now. Much easier to load, and are very high qualityComment

I ordered some Tripp Research Cobra 9mm mags for my SA Loaded 1911, but still waiting for them to get here. I might pick up some Wilsons too down the line to compare.
I'm not too fond of the stock SA mags. I had to send one back to SA because of the nose-diving issue, and the follower would get stuck about halfway down inside the mag (they replaced it without a problem). My other SA mag works ok, but occasionally has feeding issues. From everything I've read, the Tripp and Wilson mags do a good job of fixing this.Comment

Ive run the metalforms and the Tripps 9mm mags..If I had a choice, I'd go Tripp 100%. Everyone regards Wilson very highly, but I've seen a few of them 'crack' or prove to be less than reliable.
I'm fortunate to have been able to shoot alongside guys who were putting 1000's of rounds their guns each month in practice and competition. Just go see what IDPA/USPSA guys use and youll get a better idea out what works and what doesn't.Aloha snackbar!Comment

I picked up a dozen SA/Metalform mags with a coupon when I bought my gun. Haven't had any problems that were magazine related. The only reason I'd get more is to get 10 rounds for Single Stack Division, but so far I haven't felt too handicapped with only 9.Comment

Tripp for me also. I have some ETM as well and they work, but like the .45 Wilson magazines, the follower gets worn where it contacts the slide stop and over time, needs replacing or it stops holding the slide back when empty.
The Tripps has worked 100% for me so far.NRA Benefactor Life Member

Tripps Research and Wilson ETM 10 rounders work great. I've not had great luck with Mecgar 9 rounders.Comment
