I thought Cobray was on the banned list but I could be wrong. Is it a open or closed bolt model ? He can also do a rebuild with it . If he is selling it as a parts kit ill buy it if its a closed bolt semi auto.

It is closed bolt. I'm considering buying it, if it's kosher.

        consult the handgun flowchart, http://www.calguns.net/caawid/hgflowchart.pdf

do the markings that are actually on the pistol appear on the list? If not, that's what matters. Not that company A used to be Company B, and Company B is listed, so that even though the firearm does not say Company B on it, it is still banned as being from Company B.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Buy it and rebuild it on a flat. You can buy uppers and fake cans to pin on the threaded barrel.

SWD is on the ban list. This would make this an AW, right?

Three stamped-in letters moves the gun from fun to felony.
                    Makes sense to me!

I'm in need of a SWD upper as well.

Trust me, you didn't miss anything. I had a Cobray M-11 back in the late 1980's and then Roos-Roberti made it into an assault weapon. The gun is inaccurate, unreliable, heavy, and looks like it was made by some drunk guy in his garage with pliers, hammers, and files. You shouldn't feel bad at all, you didn't miss anything.

This. Ever wonder why they put that little neoprene tube over the trigger? Worst trigger slap of any gun I have ever fired. After I couple of mags your trigger finger feels like hamburger.

It was fun to shoot, but never had any hope of really hitting anything with it.

I was shooting a Glock when shooting a Glock wasn't cool.
