    Glock Barrel Swaps?

Can I just get a G26 barrel for my G27 and drop it in and have it work? Other than the barrels and mags, are there any functional differences between the two guns(spring weights maybe??)?

This question goes for the G22 and G23 as well. I assume this will all work, but I wanted to ask before I bought anything.

I know BarSto barrels need to be fitted, do new factory Glock barrels need fitting, too?

    Thanks!!

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

When converting calibers it is highly recommended to purchase magazines for the different caliber as well

Yup, that part I knew. I just wanted to make sure all it took was a barrel and mag swap.
Thanks for the link, I had never heard of that company.

Nope, the .40 barrel won't fit through the barrel hole of a 9mm slide.

I've got a ptarmigan .357 sig barrel for my G27, drops in, ammo works great in the same mags.

I have a G23 and am considering this Storm Lake to convert to 9mm.

                Stanze is correct.

You can do DOWN in caliber but not UP.

                If you have a G27, you can put in a G33 (357SIG) or G26 (9mm) barrel, but...

If you have a G26, you cannot change to any other caliber (40 or 357SIG)

You should also change the extractor to the 9mm type.

                ---

This goes for ALL glocks, and NO, you do not need to "FIT" the barrel.

Also, the barrel swaps are only good for same frame designs. For instance, a G22 barrel will not fit in a G23. Same goes for a G17 to G19.

Might I suggest www.glocktalk.com as a good source for more information.

Are there any extraction problems when you do this? The .40 is just a little bigger than 9mm.... Not sure how it fits up with the breech face on a .40....

Well, I heard the G26 uses the same frame as the G27, so if you found a G27 slide, you should be good to go.

Anyone with more glock experience want to confirm/deny?

Correct. A G26 3-pin Reciever will accept a G27 Slide Assembly...as long as the mag and/or trigger housing with ejector is converted to .40S&W platform.

To confirm with the OP, you cannot convert 9mm to .40S&W; only down.

NO! You can not put a barrel made for a G26 and put it in a G27. The barrel is thinner. You need to buy a 9mm CONVERSION barrel made for the G27. Yes you will need to get mags also.

Part #43166 is the part you need, notice it states it is a conversion barrel.
