a 110% that the guys at DAS have great customer service. They are one of the best shops in SD we went to them after being disrespected by the owner of parallax which has lost my business and recommendation and DAS has gained.

Triyng to remember it it was a half or full rail. A guy was buying a Nighthawk 1911. So was drooling over that.

My biggest complaint about my Kimber is the finish. I feel like Kimber's black oxide isnt as rugged as it should be. I think they should have at least parked it and the 'in the white' barrel though really nice and accurate is a little more prone to surface rust than I'd like it to be, although since I started using froglube its almost been a non issue.

The TRP has a stainless barrel and the frame and slide are parkerized with the Armor Tuff coating over it.

Very cool, thanks. Hopefully it'll still be there in a week when we get back from vacation.

Is the TRP model on the CA banned roster list?

How well do the TRP's Armor Tuff coating hold up to lots of use and holster wear, compared to finishes on a Kimber (black oxide) and for finish comparisons a Glock (Tennifer)?

I've been looking into the stainless TRP's mainly for this reason (or the full rail TRP Operator like what the OP has), after getting rid of my Kimber Custom II.

Congratulations! In my VERY LIMITED experience (having shot friends' guns and range rentals, as well as my non-1911 guns) I've shot the TRP the most accurately. Amazing really, I don't know, maybe it's just well tuned 1911's are easier for me to shoot, but that TRP is awesome!

Gregg you go through firearms like girls go through shoes, but that is a nice Heater. You need to buy one of those pistol bayernets for it.

I'm down for the range on Thursday, I can meet you there after work if you want.

Just glad I didn't end up having to wait a year to get it.

Patrick. I buy guns, shoot em and sell em. If they don't see sufficient range time then there's no sense in hanging on to them.
