Question about 30 day wait

Is that only for new guns?

What if someone just bought a new gun and wants to get another used gun via PPT just after the 10 day wait of the new handgun purchase? Any waiting period?

Unless you love in Los Angeles then it is 30 days no matter what, new or ppt, from what I have heard.
