M&P 9 Mag Disconnect

Hello All,

I put a M&P9 on layaway and I am really excited.

My question is if I remove the "mag disconnect" from it and use in it as an Home Defense/SD gun.

Will I get in trouble for removing the Disconnect?

You should have searched because there are already threads on this (I know because I did this searching over the weekend).

Legally, you're in the clear as long as you don't end up creating an AW.
Could it potentially get messy if you didn't kill the bad guy and his lawyer goes after you for removing a manufacture's safety device? Yes.

It's up to you to decide if you potentially want to leave yourself open to the above point.
