    Trying to value an older handgun

    I have a Colt Woodsman in good shape. Bluing is worn but other than that it seems to be fine. I have 1 magazine and a leather holster. I am trying to get an idea of the value. Any help is appreciate. Ser is 157128

        When I'm trying to "value" a gun I look at similar guns which have sold on the on-line auctions. Some start low and get a lot of bids and some start high and are ignored.

        Here's one in worse condition that recently sold for $245:

        And, here's one that got bids up to $450 but couldn't make the reserve:
