    A holster question...

I know that this is probably a dumb question but...
Would a ruger blackhawk with a 6.5 in barrel, fit in a Bianchi universal m12 holster? I know that it is more meant for autos, but I was curious.

    No.
Barrel length on your revolver is too long to fit in the holster.

In the past I've carried a 4" S&W Model 686-Plus in the Bianchi M12. It works, but it isn't ideal.

You might look at the Hunter 1100 series holsters. I've got two, one for my Ruger Mk1 and one for my Smith 27-2. Basic holster, fairly cheap, $34 bucks at Midway.

I've also got on 5000 series for Ruger GP100, it's a thumb break and I don't know if that makes a lot of sense on a 6+ inch barrel, quick draws are not going to happen with long barrels. And I guess Hunter thinks the same, they don't offer that model for your gun.
