    GSG 1911 22

Anyone have one? My local gun store has one and I have read good reviews online but I would rather hear from calgunners.

There is a long thread on the rimfire forum on the GSG1911
Any gun owner who does not support the NRA is a freeloader.

I don't own one yet but I got to shoot one at a gun fair. Ran 30 rounds of Blazer through it and no issues whatsoever. It is definitely on the wish list!!

I've had mine for 6 months now. I've posted about it many times in the Rimfire forum threads. Search for GSG or GSG1911 in the Rimfire forum for lots of info & details.

You can also search the 1911forums (good stuff there) and Rimfirecentral (ok stuff) as well for additional info on the gun.

Thanks! I read nothing but good reviews online but I always trust my fellow calgunners more lol. The guy at the shop was saying that he got complaints about the accuracy of the thing from a few people that bought. He was suggesting I buy the chiappa but I have heard it feels light like a toy and has a 12 lb trigger

I always forget about the rimfire section lol.

Most people, like me, had to adjust the slights slightly as my initial shots past 15 yards were a little high right. Very easy to do with a small allen wrench (supplied with the gun).

IMO, the Chiappa is garbarge compared to the GSG. I haven't shot one, but I've held one and it doesn't feel much like a 'real' 1911 like the GSG does. Kind of reminds me of comparing a 15-22 rifle to a Mossberg Tactical 22. Sure you can send it off somewhere in the Midwest to have it worked on and it'll be awesome afterwards, but then you would have spent about $550-$600 for everything.

If you tell me what shop I will buy it and let you know in about 10 days!

It's on my "list" to purchase before summer's end, and I can't wait.

They have at least one and its up here in Nor Cal at Markleys in Watsonvillle. They have it for $330 which I have been told by a few is a good price.

I picked mine up in early July. Since then, I have put about 700 rounds through it. After playing with the sights for a while I got the gun sighted in at 15-20yds. I shot Blazer, Remington, and Winchester Wally World ammo through it.

Other than a few FTE spent cases the GSG ran flawlessly. At first, the slide and frame fitment felt "gritty", but after some lube and a couple hundred rounds the slide feels like butter. For $350 OTD with 2 mags, this is the best investment I have made. I really enjoy this pistol and my girl loves shooting it as well. The accuracy at 20 yds isn't anything to write home about, but the barrel bushing does nothing to keep the barrel in a consistent place. I can place 5 mags worth of rounds(50) in the area of a CD at 20yds. Again, nothing impressive, but it does the job of a plinker.

Would I buy this gun again? You bet your ***!
