    The poll is expired.

That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Grip tape. Why alter a highly sought after OD frame?

Since when did Glocks become collector items simply because they are pea green? I have an OD G19 just for the hell of it, but all my glocks get beat to **** because they are ugly, utilitarian tools made for war. If it feels better to modify it, then do it and stop worrying about the resale value of a $450 pistol.

not so much the resale value that i am worried about i am more concerned about the fact that once you stipple it there is no going back

also you say "stop worrying about the resale value of a $450 pistol" like $450 isn't a lot of cash now I cant speak for everyone but $450 is a good chunk of cash to me and if $450 isn't a good chunk of cash to you then I will be glad to take it

Here's the Glocks I've stippled. I stippled my OD G19, G27 and a G26. The black Glocks are a G36, G21SF and G33. I did the stipple jobs mainly to get rid of the finger grooves and checkering on the back because they aren't very comfortable for me and I wanted a better grip.

The first ones I did I stippled all around the grip. It's comfortable to hold and is a nice grip but if I carry it IWB sometimes it can get a little rough if it's on bare skin. The later ones I did were just the front and backstrap and it actually works very well. For me, removing the finger grooves makes the grip the most comfortable.

As far as resale, I've sold the G33, G21SF and G26 how they are without a problem. Some people may not like stippling, others do. I know my guns are customized for me and that's all that matters. I say if you want to stipple your OD gun then do it. If you're going back and forth then maybe try stippling a black Glock first and see how you like it, then get the OD one done if you still want it.

Try the tape first, since it's easily reversible. Stipling should be about function, not form. Same with pistols in general.

                    WTB used AK MFER.

$450 is absolutely nothing in the gun world, especially when you want to start worrying about collectables. And really, $450 isnt that much.

                        This.

Consider a Gen4? I made the "mistake" of holding one last time I was in the shop... (but c'mon we all know I need one, its just finding the right excuse ... )

Grip tape works fine. I personally would not alter an OD frame. They are selling for more than $450 these days. GoingQuiet is getting $1000 for them (a Vendor here). (New)

I do consider resale value. It makes sense.

I run grip tape on one of my GLOCK 29s. Works just fine.

                          Be well
