Hey 1911 Smiths, Need some help

I have a Taurus PT1911 that I would like to add a rail to.

Seems like the Dawson is the best option for me and seems like a quality piece.

Have any of you guys installed one? I am pretty decent at taking care of my guns but I think this is a job that exceeds my skill level.

Just curious as to what you guys think.

Ha ha ha I have thought about just taking on the job myself.

I have access to really nice drill presses.

But another question I have is what will it do to my frames rigidity?
