    CZ 75 SP01 Tactical or CZ SP01 Phantom...HELP?

I am looking into buying a CZ SP01 but I am having difficulty deciding between the steel tactical or lighter polymer phantom. To be honest weight is not that big of a deal for me but I do plan on using it for a CCW. I prefer full size for CCW, as I currently have a G22 Gen4. Those that either have one or have experience with either, what are your thoughts on them? Thanks for your input!

The SP-01 is pretty big for CCW, plus the beavertail makes it very unfomfortable, have you tried it? I recommend you look at this again.

Yeah, I know but the nice thing is I have parents who live in a free state...Arizona! That is how I got my G22 Gen4, so I can get either one through them.

Why not the 75b compact or the P01?

Not the tactical or shadow but they're both pretty much the same as the standard SP-01 from what I can tell. The full size honestly don't bother me, as that's what I am used to. It is not going to be my primary CCW but I like to get all my handguns registered as a CCW. To me it is just another one to add to the list, as I really like the CZ. Either way, I am looking to get one but I do see your point as it is pretty big. I see you have an SP-01, how are you liking it?

If you really want to carry a SP-01 I would definitely say go with the Phantom. The steel framed versions are quite heavy and I would definitely not want to carry one on me all day long.

I would definitely check out the P-01, one of the best looking compacts in my opinion.

Yeah, those are good suggestions. I will definitely have to check those out as well then. But from reading some of the reviews on the P01, it seems to be quite a gun! The weight is about the same as the shadow but it is smaller which may be more suited for CCW. Back to the drawing board, again!

Since weight is not an issue...are you sure???
It would have to depend on the grip you like.
The Phantom would be my choice for CCW.
The Phantom is cheaper but no night sights.
Night sights are standard for the Tactical.
You may also want to look at the P-07 Duty

Ohh I love my gun, it was my first, I still havent found another gun I like better yet, but I have tried tucking it in and, ermm its too big, and Im a fairly big guy at 6ft and 240 lbs, but its uncomfortable, plus, like I said, the extended beavertail makes it almost impossible, but idk, perhaps with a crossbreed iwb?
I think youd be better off with a P01.

THe SP01 will be significantly heavier. If you are used to carrying a glock, you will be carrying a ton more weight. On the other hand, the metal frame will shoot much better, and feel far more balanced.

Get the regular SP01 with the safety instead of decocker. I love the heft on the SP01. It weighs in between my P220 and P220ST. The heavier gun is much better for shooting due to the minimal felt recoil.

I have been looking into the P01, it gets rave reviews as do most of all the CZ. I guess I will have to pay the parents another visit in AZ & see if I can give the P01 & maybe even the duty P07 as was suggested as well a try. Thanks you guys, I appreciate all the input!

I guess it all comes down to purpose, if you really are.going to CCW it everyday, get the smaller one,.if its just gonna be on the list for shtf, the SP-01 is a great gun.
