Browning BPM-D??????

anyone know the value of a good condition BPM-D? I have one available to me for 300. The same guy wants to sell me a llama firestorm 1911 for 300. I'm thinking of offering him 500 for the pair but i wanted a little input. I hear the llamma 1911's aren't the best and there is very little information online about the BPM-D.

I used to own a BDM which was the short-term predecessor. It wasn't very reliable and factory mags were fairly expensive, since Browning does not make them anymore. I sold it for $300 back in 2004. If I had the opportunity to get another one, I'd probably pass.

There had been reports, then, of cracked frames due a poor slide release design. The decocker could also release the slide which would place too much tension near the actual slide release slot on the frame. Over time (and many, many improper releases) the frame would crack. I would Google "BDM alloy frame". It's been a while and I'm not 100% sure I'm telling it correctly.
