Which is UGLIER poll? Glock or XD

First let me say that I own both and I love both for what they are. They're reliable, practical, and functional. But I wouldn't exactly call them beautiful. Ruggedly functional is more like it. But like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Though I wouldn't say ugly, the XD is less attractive then the newest line of Glocks.

The old model Glocks are a different story.

To me the beauty of a gun is in it's functionality. I don't buy any guns to just stare at, take pictures and fondle. I buy them to shoot and to protect my life. With that in mind, I consider Glock to be a BEAUTIFUL gun. I've put thousands of rounds through my Glocks without a single hiccup. I can detail-strip one in about 15 minutes. Replacing any part is a breeze and both aftermarket and OEM parts are abundant. These are simply the best pieces of functional art that I own.

glocks are simple looking, nothing fancy.

xds are straight out ugly!

XD Slide looks too big for the frame. Grip safety looks like an appendage thrown in like an afterthought. Glocks look positively elegant in comparison.

Definitely the XD. Glock used to set the standard, but it was streamline/blocky ugly.

The HS2000/XD is just rosie o'donnell ugly.

What's funny about his poll is I have been trying to decide if I want to buy the G21 or G22, or the XD Service in .40 or .45. Still not sure which.

Gen1 framed GLOCK pistols are hideous.

XD pistols have always been hideous.

Both are excellent shooters, but only one company 'allows' you to repair your own pistol with factory parts (GLOCK). That adds a new dimension of ugly to the XD.

Straight simple lines should not make either ugly. I actually think glocks and XDs are nice looking guns.

Some of those disproportioned 1911s from third world countries on the other hand are pretty ugly looking.
