    single shot or PPT only.
    True.

The PM7 and the CBOB are STILL in production, for CA. Limited quantities. Both excellent 1911's.

However, you can buy most ANY 1911 (in CA) through the SSE. Search and learn, too much to explain here (I have a Valor en route right now ).

I personally recommend Tablerockfirearms.com, or that place in Milpitas for your SSE...

    Good luck!

PS Severns Customs is highly recommended...

DO NOT Use Amazon Smile! Use Shop42A.com

the PM-7 & CBOB are discontinued for the rest of the US, but ONLY available for CA due to the roster. If you want a Valor, do as the other posters have said, SSE or PPT a used one.

+1 on Severns Customs...heard great things about his work.

+1 on Tablerock or Valkyrie... although I heard Valkyrie doesn't ship to SoCal anymore.

By chance, reading this thread today, it so happens that I brought my brand-new Dan Wesson PM7-45 home today.

She is a beautiful firearm; great fit-and-finish. The action is very tight but still smooth once I put a touch of lube on the rails.

          A couple of modest pics:

I will try to get her to the range as soon as possible...

PM-7's are great 1911's. Mine has been 100% reliable, accurate, and fun to shoot!
