Advantage Arms 22lr prone to jamming?

I was interested in maybe getting on when I pick up my glock but I've wanted a few videos on it and it seems like they jam like no other. One video even calls them the jam o matic conversion......

Any of you guys have jamming problems with yours?

I really expect more from a $250 conversion kit.

I have an Advantage Arms rimfire kit for my Glock 17.

Not only does it jam about once every magazine, the barrel builds up lead fouling up very quickly. Within 100 rounds, the bullets start flying off and keyholing from the lead build-up.

    Oh well...

It depends on the ammo you're using. At first, I used SK Std Plus since it was the only thing I had around and it jammed like no other.

As soon as I switched to Remington Golden Bullets, I had no problems shooting it out of my G22.

          This.

Read the instructions on what ammo to use.

I only feed RGB and CCI Mini-Mag on mine.

use the recommended bullets and you'll be fine. But i did notice the more I shot it the better it got.

Mine only jams when I don't clean it. I feed it the high velocity federal stuff from walmart without any issues. Don't like RGB cuz that stuff is filthy.

Yea I noticed that all these conversion kits even the AR15 conversion kits need a little 100 shot or so break in period then start to forget how to jam.

I was just wondering if this was a common problem with the AA kits or all kits for that matter.

Done a ton of research and actually bought a ar15 22lr kit yesterday but not too much on the pistol kits only a little research.

From my experience mine did. Im at about 400 rounds on mine and it jams one every 3 to 4 mags but from what i here it jams less after 500 rounds on up.

I'd be willing to bet... using the right ammo, after 500+ rounds it'll loosen up and fire quite nicely.

I had the same problem with a Sig Mosquito... shot 500-1000 rounds of CCI Minimags... now it'll feed federal bulk and rarely fails.

Use the recommended ammo and also try these little fixes to make them even more reliable.

I had an Advantage Arms kit for subcompact Glocks and it malfunctioned regularly. It was fun to shoot when it was running right but then the fun would get paused while I had to clear another jam. I shot the recommended Remington Gold bullet ammo but it didn't make much of a difference as far as reliability. I lost interest pretty quickly when it wouldn't function reliably. I didn't like switching from shooting centerfire ammo reliably with my Glock to paying less for ammo but having an unreliable gun that jammed a lot if that makes sense.

In my experience (several thousand rounds) Remington Gold bullets are dirty and unreliable to even fire in the first place. In all the boxes I've bought I'd say at least 1 in 20 rounds are duds. I've had good luck with Federal bulk and they are clean and shiny out of the box but the AA kits don't feed them well.

Some people say the AA kits are good because they teach you how to clear malfunctions efficiently but I'd rather shoot something reliable. I got rid of my kit a while back. I prefer my Ruger Mark III 22/45 because it's fun to shoot, accurate, feeds reliably and isn't finicky about ammo. It performs best with Federal bulk .22lr.

Good reply. Yes from all the videos and things I've read about them I'm not looking forward to spending $250 on a sub par conversion kit. I'll just stick with my CMMG conversion kit for my AR
