It doesn't sound like a major problem. Photos with the slide on from a side view and photos of the rails with the slide off would help.Comparing a 10MM to a .45 is like comparing Major League Baseball to Softball. One of them anybody can do and the other is strictly for men.....JJ -
Tip: Don't let others disassemble/reassemble your firearms unless you are 100% confident in their mechanical aptitude. Have you performed a field strip and reassembly since this occurred?Comment

According to the photos, the rails might be up a little. If that is the problem, a local smith will probably fix that for you for about 25 bucks. There is supposed to be little room between the slide and the frame but it should not be enough to make the gun physically rattle.Comparing a 10MM to a .45 is like comparing Major League Baseball to Softball. Where are you located OP? I can take a look at it. I really doubt those rails were bent. Almost unheard of. The slide should have a small amount of lateral/fore&aft play. The way that those rail segments are molded into the polymer, you would be able to tell if they were actually "bent" as there would be an obvious misalignment between the polymer & steel (and possibly cracking). The recoil spring is seated just fine in the pics, by the way. It actually takes a tremendous amount of force to tweak those rails.Last edited by supersonic; 07-08-2011, 11:34 PM.

It kinda looks like the rear rails were impacted.
I will take a pic of my frame if no one has yet.
As others have stated DON'T LET OTHERS ASSEMBLE YOUR WEAPON.

Two things, never let your cousin touch your weapon again. Second, is your cousin superman? I couldn't even begin to attempt doing this to my G20!
