    (Rant) Damn Fedex Driver!

I ordered 3 mags from CZ-USA & it was to be delivered today. The Fedex tracking said that it was delivered at 7:16 PM today while I was in the shower. I checked the tracking again around 7:25 PM & saw that it was delivered. I check the front door & there was no package. Why in the hell was he delivering at 7:16 PM! Where's my package you b@st@rd?

you might want to take a good look around. they sometimes hide it so as it doesnt get stolen. i had a ups driver put a package inside my weber grill. it took me going down to the main depot and had them get ahold of the driver. 3 hours and a bad attitude later they told me where it was.

was it fedex home delivery? i was told (by them) that they deliver unitl 10 pm.

i too had a package that was "delivered" but wasn't there. i called the customer service right away. it was redelivered the next morning. the excuse? delivered to the wrong address. i was convinced that the driver stole it and wasn't going to return it until he was called on it.

iirc, fedex home delivery is actually contracted out routes.

Three CZ mags missing - ouch! I have a bunch of CZs, whether pistol or rifle they ain't cheap. Why couldn't he have been delivering the $6.00 1911 mags?

Don't know who you ordered from, hope they show up. I had a similar problem with an order from Grafs. Grafs was very good about replacing the missing order and dealing with UPS.

BTW - FedEx is inconvenient for me, Grafs lets you specify UPS or FedEx.

Ahhh the perfect crime...except for not knowing what you just stole and everyone knows you were the last one to have the package. Why would you be convinced the driver stole it??

well, the box was emblazoned with "Summit Racing Equipment". if the package did not require a signature, the driver could very well say that he did deliver the package and suggest that someone came along after him and took it. also, the address where it was supposedly delivered to was not even close to mine. don't they have to check the address and scan the label when they deliver it?

so it's okay to cut corners and greatly risk making errors in one's work in the interest of saving time?

please don't say you work for fedex or ups.

I had that happen, also with Summit Racing. When I tracked it they said it was delivered, even though my wife was home all day and didn't see anybody come to the house. I called Summit, and I had the package an hour later. Some of the FedEx guys here seem shady.

Those guys probably pad the computerized drop times to help some sort of productivity number their supervisors keep track of.

good jobs until the horse breaks a leg, then it's out back to get a bullet in the head (fired).

The real question is what you were doing showering at 7:16PM? Hot date?

Really, as CZ owner, those mags aren't cheap! Hope you recover your goods.

you should make friends with your local driver....
my UPS driver is an old friend of mine and he has gone so far to dig through trucks looking for my packages for work if I really need them. He calls me in the morning if he gets a package for me and asks me what I want him to do with it. It makes it nice.
a gun in the hand is worth more than a cop on the phone.

do what i do. everytime the ups, fed ex, usps mailman comes, don't let them just drop the package and leave. yell at them to stay for a second and give him a cold coke, root beer, etc.

you will notice that your packages somehow never get lost, he will actually try to hide packages that might get stolen, and he won't go telling other people about the long heavy packages that keep getting delivered to your house.

oh, and by the way - if you buy ammo online - you really ought to give the guy who does your route a gift card or two a year to something nice. $10 twice a year is what i do. in return he doesn't drop my 80lb cases in the driveway or try to be a jerk about the signatures.
