            BS!

All magazine are legal in Ca as long as you possessed those exact mags (or rebuilt your originals) in Ca prior to 1-1-00 or otherwise legally obtained them inside of Ca.

                  Wrong.

You can not use a magazine that can feed more than 10 rounds in a "fixed magazine" gun other than lever action or tube-fed .22lr.

But for a Glock, 92FS, etc...

Possession and use are not illegal.

It is illegal to import, manufacture, sell, offer for sale, keep for sale, or lend (unless the owner is in the direct presence and control of the magazines).

If you legally owned the magazines prior to Jan 1, 2000, you can take them out of state and bring them back at-will.. you are exempt from the prohibition on importation.

There are also a whole bunch of other exemptions (roughly 20).
It is actually legal for you to purchase a high-cap from the owner of an armored car company. The law is very poorly written.
