M&P 9mm Compact put in jail today!

I have been seeking one of these little guys as a companion and BUG to my full sized 9mm M&P duty weapon. My local gun store finally got some in and called me up the other day since I was on the wait list.

First impressions of this little beast is that it is solid and well made, like its big brother. The action is uncommonly stiff, requiring some effort to rack the slide and manually engage the slide release. The fit and finish is excellent, and at under $500 for the weapon, night sights, and 3 magazines, it is a serious bargain.

I will follow up to this post with a full range report as soon as it gets paroled.

Please do. Can you do a side-by-side comparison regarding the trigger of the full size vs compact.

Yes it will be interesting to compare the two. My M&P full size is well broken in with about 1000 flawless rounds through it.

Where the heck did you find that deal!!! That's a great price. I love my compact m&p very much that I even bought a full size a few weeks ago. I'm guessing you bought a used one?? I've never seen a new m&p with night sights and 3 mags.

Great choice. I like that it holds 12 rounds VS 10 for its glock counter part.

did you try fresno firearms? the lady is a little rude at first but I have gotten all my guns for way less than any other place in fresno. last time i was in there she had one.

thanks for the heads up. I drove by but they were closed for the day. they've got some strange hours.

The lady there was able to order a 590A1 for me for a fair price a while back. She's a whole lot nicer than the old man who used to run things there, I think he passed a while back. Perhaps i'll give them a call.

yeah id try her, she got me $150 off of what every other store in fresno wanted on my m&p and $200 off my savage .243.
