Sneather - I know its not on the roster, but single shot exemption is becoming pretty commonplace. If there's a will, there's a way.

Sure. Indeed. I didn't mean to infer that there wasn't a legal workaround to get one here. In fact, I might consider that myself for that exact gun. But for good 1911 info, it's hard to beat those dedicated 1911 forums. Those guys eat, drink & breathe all steel guns...

Probably. I'm sure they've already been banned from the forum, for life. And sentenced to live in CA for a year, to see how hard it is to enjoy our sport...

Funny. I watched the pilot of "Falling Skies" the other night. In one scene a dad corrected his son who called his rifle's mag "a clip." I guess even the gun world has it's own version of PC.
