Glock 21 price question.

Is $500.00 a good price for a 3rd gen Glock 21 with 200 down the pipe? Also includes 3 factory mags and the original box. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post such a question so if it's not, sorry about that. Let me know and I will delete my post.
I am considering just such a purchase and It would be a local PPT.

i personally wouldnt go for any used glock for more than $420. I saw a G21 "like new" for $400 but passed it over since i already have one.

This isn't taking into account shipping fees and the fact your FFL might charge a bit more since it isn't a PPT.

A local shop like Turner's is going to run you a bit more. Last time I priced a Glock locally, they were running in the $600 range. This will vary between shops, naturally.

The gun is right here and has low mileage. Snatch that puppy up while you can.

That's a good price. People like to point to out of state web sites with sub-$500 prices but they don't take into account the FFL/shipping fees which *SURPRISE!* makes it a $500+ Glock.

200 rounds isn't anything. That could be a single visit to the range.

Even if you got a new G21 for $520 you'd be in the same position after 200 rounds anyhow. That's a whopping $20 savings. Glock will fix any Glock whether you bought it new or used.

I believe Mace was just referencing other prices and not necessarily telling anyone to buy from any specific link he posted.

I don't see why you'd spend $500 and take a dice roll on a used Glock when you can buy a new one for about the same price and know what you're getting. I'll buy used, but it'll be to save $100 or more. Otherwise it ain't worth the hassle.

I think sometimes when a seller posts his round count, it's like a woman telling you how old she is. They both tend to round way down.

Yeah, I know..... Just pointing out some of the fine print in the auction. I ran into the same thing a few years back when I won an auction for a gun and the seller refused to ship it to CA "because of the draconian firearms laws". Was a pain in the @$$ getting him to refund my cash.

Anyhow, $500 for a "used" Glock isn't bad and even if it is understated a bit, 200rds is nothing from a Glock. Even 2000rds would be a reasonable amount of usage, in my opinion.

Thanks everyone. Calguns is a great resource. It looks like the G21 is "sold pending funds" as the first in line decided to take it. It was great to hear everyone's opinions and experiences and the loss of the G21 is no big deal as there are so many amazing deals posting lately! It seems everyone has their $$$ tied up in the lower frenzy!


Update: Got an email from a fellow Calgunner and did a PPT today on a sweet 3rd gen G21 with Factory N.S. box and 3 mags! Thanks again. He saw this thread and it prompted him to email me. As I said before, Calguns is a great resource!

I got a Gen III Glock 27 with 2 mags off a guy I work with for $300 a month ago. The next closest price was $425 (new, w/3 mags) at the PD supply store and $589 at the local gun shop.

If you are mil or LE you can get up to $100 off at some places...just FYI
