    Glock 21sf RTF2... dangit california...

So I tried to get my hands onto a Glock21sf RTF2 and with no luck. Come to find out California doesn't "approve" em.... Now for why I am so frustrated:

I just moved here from Texas... and I have to say California is ridiculous when it comes to their gun laws... The reason for my move is I have always wanted to be LAPD so hopefully when they start to hire I can get LEO status and get past some of these awful rules. (and please people, dont get me wrong. Iam not bashing on California people, or even the state. Just the gun laws are too strict in my personal opinion. lol the last thing I want as a new member is people thinking Iam just signing on here to complain.)

I own a g21sf but I love the feel of the RTF so I can't wait to get my hands on one. Can anyone that has shot/own one tell me how it shoots? I know it has the dual spring, and a few other things.

Take a read through this, your options aren't as limited as you think:

Now trusted by 34 out of 50 US States, except for that which is my home...

You moved to California from Texas, and as a guy who likes guns, you didn't read about CA gun laws first?

haha to be honest I traded loose gun laws for a "dream". If I have to tolerate Cali gun laws to eventually become LAPD (hopefully... lol) then I will. But that won't stop me from complaining about them every chance I get!

Well, first of all....Welcome to Cal Guns....!..a nice bunch of people here.

You could singleshot exempt the Gen 4 G21SF if you wanted too.

Probably the easier route would be if you had Mom, Dad, Son, Daughter, Grandpa, Grandma living OUT OF STATE who could do a legal, simple interfamily transfer (as a gift) to you.

            Got any of the above..?

            Be well

The reason I said GEN 4 while you only want the obsolete RTF2 version is because I think the new GEN4 Glock 21SF is the ticket...

Here is a range report. If you're going to all the trouble, might as well step up the latest improvement.

That's just the gen4 21.. I don't think they have a sf yet. Doubt they ever will due to the back strap option 1 is as slim as the sf

The RTF/RTF2 is allowed in CA under the general Glock listing because the changes were minor. However, the Gen4 is not on the roster and NEVER will be.

If you want a RTF2 you'll have to find a dealer who still has one (not likely) or a PPT. I bought my G17 RTF2 from Turners for $499 because it was a discontinuation sale.

You should have bought 100 off-roster guns in Texas before moving to Cali.
Even if you sold just 50 of those here, you would have make a killing.

Lol yea, but you first need the money to spend before you can sell

This would've been dealing with a license unless you sold them all in a few transactions with many guns per transaction. Also, there are much better ways to invest that kind of money.

OP can just exempt it anyway.
