    Cleaning Magazines - Double Stack

Best way to clean handgun magazines?

Most of them are metal - spring, body, base plate clip?

Plastic/Polymer - Base plate and follower?

What do you recommend? I'm thinking the spring/bodies would rust if I subjected them to any kind of water.

I was thinking some type of degreaser, then a bit of breakfree as a final wipe down.

As far as the base plate and followers which are plastic, I wouldn't mind soaking them in soapy water followed by a wipe down.

You just use a mag brush, then wipe down the mag body, follower and base plate with a rag.

Mag brush and wipe everything down. Sometimes i'll put a little dab of oil to lube the internals

I didn't even know there was a mag brush.

I been doing it with old toothbrush and run a rag thru it afterwards.

Definitely have to get a mag brush now, definitely would be a time saver.
