    glock 23 9mm conversion

what all is required to convert a glock 23 to 9mm do i just need the barrel and mag or is there other parts that need to be replaced?
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

For range practice, you can just swap in a 9mm conversion barrel like a Lone Wolf .40->9mm and use G19 mags. They'll generally run really nicely.

If you plan on using it for competition or HD, I'd also recommend swapping out the extractor and ejector block for added peace of mind.

I've done it both ways and haven't really had problems with either.

I have only swapped the barrel and magazine and about 700 rounds later not a single problem.

It will run 100% with a lonewolf barrel and 9MM magazine. (for me)

          This explains it:

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Thanks for the video. I've been curious about this myself, I thought I would have to swap out too many parts to make it run reliably. The video gave me enough confidence to give the barrel conversion a shot.

What about a G38 to a 40-9 barrel? I heard it can work but I thought I would throw it out to just see?? Would I have to do any other than a barrel and a magazine?

Well I found out it's almost impossible.... Nobody makes a conversion kit from 45GAP to 40 or 9mm.

I am not positive but I think you can put a Glock 19 or 23 slide on a 38 frame

I used a LW 40-9 conversion barrel and a G19 magazine on my G23. Easy, 1 minute change.
The reliability with 9mm is not as good as with .40 S&W though. I get about a 1% (1/100) FTE/FTF rate when shooting 9mm with the conversion - not reliable enough for HD/SD, but acceptable for plinking.

It's like having 2 guns (G19 and G23) in one!

I know some people have installed a Glock 36 slide on a Glock 30 frame.

I even was able to shoot 9mm thru my G27, with conversiona barrel of course, with G22's and G23's mags without changing the extractors or ejectors whatsoever...I'm lucky probably? YMMV

I used 9mm in my g23 mags flawlessly at the range with a Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel. I did however end up getting a g19 rebuild kit once I had a chance. I am going to sell my Wolf barrel once the gun sells. Look me up later.
