    My Springfield Armory 1911s

Here are my two 1911 pistols. The full size is a loaded V12 I bought in 1996. I just added the Strike Industries Molded Golf Ball Dimpled grips. I know, I know. I learned about the idiot scratch pretty quickly on my first 1911 so no comments needed. The Micro Compact I just bought last month. I added the VZ Aliens today.

The Micro Compact is also a loaded and it came with a light for the rail. This model is not on the roster. I got it through single shot exemption at Tracy Rifle and Pistol.

Speaking of 1911s, are they POA/POI? Or do all manufactures use what ever they want?

It shoots much better than I do. POA is POI if I breathe correctly, have good trigger control, don't flinch or anything else I can do to screw it up. Both guns are very accurate and group well at 10 yards, which is about all I ever shoot them at.

I've owned 3 Springfield 1911s before; 2 TRPs and 1 Ultra Compact. The ones I really want to get my hands on are a TRP Operator and an EMP in 9mm.

I had a TRP Operator with full length rail and bull barrel but had to sell it when I lost my job years ago.

I held an EMP 9mm yesterday and oh my gosh, so incredible. It is my next gun, there is no doubt about it.
